Serving as a true pioneer and crucial tastemaker to the underground world of pulsing yet deep four on the floor beats, Damian Lazarus is easily known as one the greats in House music. Founder of notorious record label Crosstown Records, he was the prime source for discovery of other influential players such as Art Department, Maceo Plex, Jamie Jones, and many more. Releasing his very first studio album Smoke The Monster Out in 2009, Damian is no rookie to the sounds of the underground with over 35+ single, EP, album, and DJ mix releases spanning well over an 18+ year period. On top of the diverse selection of releases he has, he also holds a nearly 10 year residency at DC10, one of Ibiza’s most prominent underground nightclubs. He’s also been making some recent waves with his Day Zero event out at a secret Mayan Temple during BPM in Mexico. so it’s pretty much safe to say that this is one act you don’t wanna miss.
Syd is best known as the founder, lineup curator, and production director of the longest-running large-scale sound and art camp at Burning Man, Opulent Temple. He also runs Opel Productions based out of San Francisco which focuses on “conscious parties with kick ass line ups” with the intention of using the dance music community as a positive outlet of change within the community and around the world. Consistently being voted into the Top 10 San Francisco Dream Team poll, Syd is also frequently playing some of the biggest events within the dance realm in California and has been personally invited to both open and close for world-class talent such as Armin Van Buuren, Moby, Tiesto, Stanton Warriors, and many more.
Joeski hails a wide variety of releases since his break into the House game in 1989. Starting his career hosting house parties, Joeski was quick to hold down the reigns in some of New York’s hottest spots like the legendary Limelight followed by Nasa in the early 90’s. He gained international traction and even earned a residency at Groove Society in Montreal trailing where he distinguished himself as a producer. He was quick to make his mark on the House scene with releases through labels like Ministry Of Sound, Electric Soul, Siesta, Junior Boys Own, and many more. This also inspired him to launch his own record label, Maya Records, which boasts over 100 releases from the likes of Doc Martin, Oliver Dollar, Luciano, to name a few.
Mark Farina has spent the past 27 years touring the world playing hundreds of shows on a yearly basis. Starting his DJ career at only 16, he was quick to rise through the ranks as he joined forces with other emerging DJ’s to create a sacred musical spot called Rednail that became known for their crazy parties and home to some of his very first productions. His first release on Rednail, “MOOD”, sold 35,000 copies in the US and UK and is crowned “the first Ambient House” track. Mark is also the creator of Hip-Hop infused House with a impromptu panaché called “Mushroom Jazz”. After moving from Chicago to San Francisco in ’92, he was able to gather a cult like following in the span of only 3 years during the 90’s that was quick to spread like a wildfire that brought Mushroom Jazz to light.
Originally consisting of a quartet with Seth Troxler, Visionquest stands as a trio formed by Ryan Crosson, Lee Curtiss, and Shaun Reeves. All DJ/Producers as stand alone individuals, they have embarked on Visionquest’s biggest journey to date, Visionquest 13 where they guys played their entire set together but also curated a night filled with a multimedia experience all over the world for 13 nights. They also are founders of a now iconic label that is home to over 50+ massive House tunes from the likes of Benoit & Sergio, Laura Jones, Dinky, and a handful of other key players. Visionquest approaches their bright future gracefully as the dance floors around the world stand receptive to their European sounds of an experimental House music journey.
Marques is one to turn parties into intimate rituals, especially at his own series of events, Deep-LA. Chiming into the game in the 90’s when House music was still scarcely heard outside of the depths of New York and Chicago, Marques took it upon himself to shed some light on the East Coast sound to his native Los Angeles through legendary house parties such as Does Your Mama Know, BBC, and MAC’s Garage. At this point you can also say his weekly House institution, Deep, will continue to run strong for time to come as it goes into it’s thirteenth year of delivering only the best in soulfully organic House music alongside talent such as Louie Vega, Danny Teneglia, Frankie Knuckles, and so much more amazing talent. He also frequents releases on revered labels that include Yoshitoshi, Strictly Rhythm, Nervous, Om, and King Street and spreads these tunes worldwide from Tel Aviv to Dubai, Shanghai to Barcelona, and just about everywhere in between.
